The thought of a befitting place of learning for children in Suleja, Niger State was borne out of Nostalgia. My four children: Uche, Ahunna aka June, Nkiruka and Chijindu all grew up in Suleja town before proceeding to the United Kingdom to settle. I have fond memories of their start off in the FCDA Primary School, (now called The Presidency Primary School ) in 1980 which was later moved to Jabi, FCT, Abuja in 1986. My memories are of a school built for purpose with a welcoming environment for every child and a conducive atmosphere for learning and development. That is exactly what Juneberries Schools Suleja has brought back to the community for the benefit of families and their young ones. Within one year of our service delivery in Juneberries Schools,we have kept the pupils busy and entertained with exciting classroom lesson, outdoor activities and indoor games. We have also engaged the Parents of pupils and other members of the local community in activities like:
In keeping with Juneberrie’s Schools’ motto of “Nurturing and Educating every Child”, we realise that each child is unique and learns differently. For that reason we include day trips and excursion in our programmes to cater for the holistic needs of every child especially those of them that are pragmatics who learn more by practice rather than theory. On Thursday 19th March, the pupils went on a day trip to the Gurara Waterfalls in Niger State to explore the natural setting of the tumbling of water down the cliff and fish in the stream beneath the falls. A trip to the zoo is planned for the Bravo term of 2015/2016 Session. Juneberries Schools is well acquainted with the Suleja Local Government Education Board to whom we report periodically and His Royal Highness, the Emir of Suleja through the Emirate Council. Juneberries Schools is a government approved institution for Learning and Development, duly registered at the Corporate Affairs Commission Abuja and licensed by the Niger State Private Schools Board. Thank you as we work in partnership towards a brighter future for our kids.
